So I'm new to leatherwork and crafting...for all the n00bs like me, here is what I learned very quickly while making my last project, the brown vambraces:
If you're going to make a curved piece (like a vambrace) and have several layers, DO NOT RIVET IT TOGETHER FLAT, or it will not bend properly. Instead, you should probably punch the holes for the top layer, then lay both pieces over a form (like an arm), then mark where the holes should go on the bottom layer; that way, when you rivet the two together, they'll easily bend around whatever they're supposed to!
If more experienced leathercrafters have any tips, or a more efficient way of pe
